Barbara Corcoran on "What Would You Do" T.V. Show
Barbara on Gender Discrimination
The What Would You Do TV Show sets up scenarios dealing with real life touchy subjects and wants to see what you would do (the public) under these situations. Barbara Corcoran was on the show when they were dealing with gender discrimination in the work place. Having dealt with this problem first hand as she was building her billion dollar empire, she seemed perfect to play the part. The What Would You Do Show is also produced by ABC as is the Shark Tank, which was another benefit from having her on this episode.
It starts off with Barbara behind the hidden camera's sitting with John Quinones, the Host of "What Would You Do?", A Businessman is waiting to meet Terry who coming for a job interview. The only problem is Terri is a female who is applying for the job and not the male he was expecting. A nice looking Lady by the name of Cookie, is seated next to the two and can't help over hear their conversation. It's apparent the businessman is more interested in dating Terri then hiring her for the position even though she is more then qualified. When he steps out of the room, Cookie states his intentions and says "he has no plans of hiring you, your not a man". She makes no reservations on her feelings and convinces the actress to get up and leave the interview. Her final advise for men who treat women like that "They should be Tared and feathered"
The What Would You Do Show sets up the same scenario with an elderly couple sitting next to the interview which has them boiling in their seat when the male interviewer says "This job is for a salesman not a sales woman".Read More Here-->>>
