With a name like Salespreneur you best be one heck of a good salesman when your main target is folks already in the sales business. Dave Greco the owner of Salespreneur, confidently walked into the Shark Tank and said "I can sell anything to anybody at any time". Whoa, now that's quite a statement to say to our very successful Sharks that know a thing or two about selling themselves.

The Sharks instantly went on the defense to prove Greco couldn't sell his system to them. Dave has put a complete program together He calls the Missile System which is a step-by-step system what to say to a potential customer. He is so confident this will help you sell anything to anyone that he has a 100% guarantee or your money back.

The Profit on CNBC

The Profit on CNBC

First Season of The Profit
Marcus Lemonis Stars on The Profit
Marcus Lemonis is the Shark on CNBC The Profit
The #1 Business Channel CNBC has come out with two different Business Reality TV Shows this season in response to the success of the Shark Tank Show. The first show Crowd Rules lasted a whopping 2 episodes before it was pulled from CNBC with rating's less than 50,000 viewers.
The second show called The Profit, came out with much stronger ratings over 250,000 viewers but was unable to sustain those numbers after the season premiere. It has however never fallen to the dismal ratings of Crowd Rules.

Crowd Rules was a cross between a game show and the Shark Tank Show featuring 3 businesses competing for a $50,000.00 prize. After a series of voting rounds between Crowd Rules Hosts Kendra Scott and Pat Kiernan, along with 100 members of the audience, the $50k prize was awarded to only one of the three featured businesses. One company seen on the season premiere Heart Breaking Dawns, a BBQ Sauce Business, would go on to win the very first episode. While another company Mr. Green Tea would end up on both Crowd Rules and The Profit.

Zomm Update

Zomm on Shark Tank

Wireless Leash for iPhone - Season 4 Update
Seen on the Shark Tank Season 4
The Zomm Wireless Phone Leash
Featured on Shark Tank
The Zomm wireless leash for your iPhone hooks to your key chain and sounds off an alarm if you ever walk off and forget it. But that's only part of what this clever Blue tooth devise is capable of doing. The Zomm can also be used as a hands free speaker phone while you're driving or can also be set up to dial any number in case of an emergency.

The inventors of the Zomm, Henry and Laurie Penix from Tulsa, Oklahoma, came up with the name using the first letter of their kid's name. Starting with Zack, Olivia and Madison, with the additional M standing for Mom, completes the Zomm Brand name.

Henry Penix walked into the Shark Tank looking for a $2 million dollar investment in exchange for 10% equity stake in the Zomm Business. Starting negotiations with the Sharks putting a $20 million valuation on the company you best have some sales too back it up, and they did. In 2011 sales were $5 million, with 2012 sales on track to sell $7.2 million with $2 million in net profit. Read More Here-->>>

Brewer's Cow Ice Cream

Brewer's Ice Cream on Shark Tank

Beer Infused Ice Cream - Season 3 Update
seen on the Shark Tank season 3
Beer Infused Ice Cream
Everyone loves Ice Cream, right? What about beer infused ice cream made with your favorite beer? I love ice cream and I love a good beer, but mixing them together is something I would have to try first before I made up my mind. My first thought was this sounds a little gimmicky too make a good product for the long run, but then I see the Sharks reaction and most of them seemed to love this beer infused ice cream.

The three Entrepreneurs behind these creative new icecream flavors are Steve Albert, Larry Blackwell and Jason Conroy from Old Lyme, CT. They came into the Shark Tank seeking $125k investment for a 15% equity stake in the Brewers Cow Ice Cream Business. The number of flavors they can make are only limited by hundreds of good brews on the market.

At the time of the Shark Tank airing, Brewers Cow had $5k in sales which after a little trying to figure out their numbers, they have made around $400 so far. The business partners have orders to be placed in Whole Foods Stores, but on a limited scale thus far. I'm not sure why they decided on such a high valuation to start negotiations considering these numbers, but as most experienced fans of the Shark Tank know, this usually is a sure way Not to get a deal from the wealthy Sharks.

It amazes me when I hear some of these valuations folks put on their businesses

Lifter Hamper Update

Lift Hamper on Shark Tank

Spring Loaded Clothes Hamper -  Season 4 Update
Marvin Phillip's Lifter Hamper season 4
The Lifter Hamper
Finished Product
I'm not sure how I missed this one, but the Lifter Hamper has to be the coolest clothes hamper on the market that thousands of people with back problems are going to love. The inventor of The Lifter Hamper is Marvin Phillip, a NFL Star who was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steeler's back in 2006. In 2008 Phillip had a back injury that sidelined Him for the rest of the Season when it was difficult just to bend over.

Marvin may not of been able to play Professional Football but that didn't stop Him from helping out around the House including doing the laundry. Having to bend over to complete this task, Phillip reasoned there had to be a better way. What if the hamper was spring loaded going down when you put clothes in the hamper, then rises back up when you take them out? A light bulb went off and Marvin's entrepreneurial spirit took over designing the Lifter Hamper that would make bending over a thing of the past.

Marvin Phillip entered the Shark Tank seeking $85,000,00 in exchange for a 12% equity stake in the Lifter Hamper Business. He was already in the hamper business for 6 months with contracts from two rep firms, but no real sales yet to speak of. With such a cool invention for anyone with back problems, it would seem like a great product for Lori Greiner's QVC Show. But a product that has not proven itself in the market yet, and an extremely high valuation at this point in the game, left Lori very little choice but to go out. In fact all the Sharks go out as it appears Phillip had made the most common mistake for contestants not getting a deal on the shark Tank by over valuing their business.

Body Walking Update

Body Walking Shark Tank Update

Back Rub Using Your Feet - Update from Season 4

Body Walking seen in season 4 episode 402 Tod Miller the owner of Body Walking, has taken this ancient technique and created a business good enough to make it on the Shark Tank Show. Miller is a licensed massage therapist from Phoenix, Arizona who has perfected this type of massage using a handrail that allows Him to stand directly on your pressure points and apply a lot more pressure than traditional massage allows.
How good does it feel to have someone give you a body massage with their feet? Pretty darn good I would say, in fact I used to pay my kids when they were little to do this very thing.

When Todd Miller entered the Shark Tank He was asking$100k investment for 10% equity in the Body Walking Business. Over the past 7 years, Miller has licensed a total of 30 massage therapists who he has trained in this ancient back rub technique. With 23 Iron Man triathlons already completed, Todd is clearly also an expert staying in shape and knows the benefits of a good back rub after such an event.

Barbara Corcoran volunteered to have Todd give Her a back rub with his feet during his Shark Tank appearance which almost puts her to sleep. She loved the back rub, but doesn't see anything unique about this business to invest her money especially considering the million dollar valuation.Read More Here-->>>

If you have a great idea for a book, the Business Ghost services will organize your ideas, design your cover, publish your book and even help market the finished product.

The cost for having your book ghost written with a final product can run as high as $75,000.00 per project. The Business Ghost Business is on track to gross $700k this year alone.

Levin came into the Shark Tank seeking $200,000.00 for a 10% equity stake in His Ghost Writing Services. Kevin O'Leary is very impressed with Michael's writing services and compliment's him for making a profit that most writers never achieve, but is skeptical if this could be turned into a very profitable long term business. Barbara Corcoran seems to think Michael is getting tired of the Business Ghost Business and is looking for someone else to run the company. Mark Cuban questions the entire book publishing business as more print goes digital. Daymond John thinks if He invests in the business, getting His investment back will end up more like a mystery book. In the end Business Ghost was unable to get any offers from the Sharks and no deal was made.

Vinamor Wine Aerator

If you like wine as much as I do, then your going to love the Vinamor Wine Aerator that helps the wine breathe as its being poured. When Gary DeJohn came into the Shark Tank He was well prepared and did His homework on the Sharks themselves. Already knowing Kevin O'Leary has his own winery (O'Leary Wines) it was clear that DeJohn was targeting Kevin to invest $75k for a 30% stake in his aerator. While O'Leary was indeed impressed with this product, He is already in this business with a few other wine aerators on the market, and never even makes an offer.

At the time of the taping of the Shark Tank, the Vinamor was selling for $40 bucks a pop which is a little pricey according to Kevin our wine expert. Gary was indeed able to find another oversees manufacture and drastically lowered the price to $24.95 per unit.

Clean Bottle Shark Tank Update

The Cleanest Water Bottle On Earth - Season 3

The Clean Bottle seen on Shark tank season 3
Need a little Free Publicity?
Just chase down a few bike rider's  at the Tour de France
for Free World Wide Advertising!
The Clean Bottle was designed with one thing in mind, to be the easiest water bottle too clean that has ever been made. After 3 years and 54 prototypes, Dave Mayer has accomplished that goal and appropriately named His invention The Clean Bottle. What makes this water bottle so unique from anything else on the market is the fact it unscrews on both ends making it much easier to clean and dry out when not in use.

Water Bottle from season 3
New Runner
Water Bottle w/ Pouch
Dave Meyer's may have invented the cleanest water bottle ever made, but it took all the money he had to create it with little left for advertising the final product. What's Dave do to start getting the word out about his new invention?  He does what any creative Entrepreneur would do, He creates it. Meyer's went  to the Tour de France where everyone has water bottles and has his Giant Clean Bottle Mascot start jogging along with the bike riders. This seemingly simple form of advertising gets picked up with world wide press coverage and puts the Clean Bottle on the map.

When Dave entered the Shark Tank about a year after the Tour de France, His sales had already mushroomed to over $750,000.00 and still climbing. Read More Here-->>>

The Nitro Force

Nitro Force on Shark Tank Update

Portable Home Gym Update from Season 3
Seen on the Shark Tank Season 3
The Titan 1000 Home Gym
W/ 100 Exercises and
1000 Lbs. of weight
The NitroForce Company sells the popular Titan 1000 developed by Fitness Experts Frank Campitelli & Debrae Barensfeld. With a combined 30 years in the fitness industry they built the lightest and most powerful home gym on the market. With just a single Titan 1000 you have over 100 exercises to choose from using up to 1000 pounds of total resistance.

Frank and Debrae came into the Shark Tank looking for a $250k investment in exchange for 10% equity stake in the NitroForce.com Business. At the time of the airing in Season 3, they have only sold 12 home gyms for $1300 and a grand total of $15,600 in sales. In part how Campitelli and Barensfield justify the $2.5 million valuation is the fact they have 90 more home gyms in a warehouse and ready to be sold.

This just might be the greatest home exercise gym in the world, but putting such a high valuation on Nitro Force when its entire sales is what Mark Cuban spends on a night on the town, didn't seem to get any of the Sharks to take a bite at the business. Some folks choose to use the Shark Tank Show just as much as the Shark Tank uses them. I'm not saying this is the case here, but if you wanted to get on the Show and had no interest in making a deal, these numbers would probably do it every single time.

Cougar Energy Drink

Cougar Energy on Shark Tank

Energy Drink Seen in Season 3 Update

Seen on the Shark Tank  These days we seem to have energy drinks being formulated for all kinds of reasons. Some are made to give you a 5 Hour boost of energy, while others are made to keep you alert like the Ruck Pack Energy Drink also seen on the Shark Tank Show. Then we have energy drinks that are very niche oriented like the Cougar Energy Drink that specifically target's older Women AKA Cougars.

Ryan Custer is the owner and creature of the Cougar Energy Drink specifically formulated for women with a big appetite. He came into the Shark Tank looking for a $150,000.00 investment in exchange for 30% of the energy drink business. At that time Custer already sold over $60,000.00 worth of product within the past three years.

While having a niche oriented business can be a very good thing, in some cases it may be too niche orientated when it comes to getting major exposure. This may be the case with Cougar Energy Drink going after a very specific target market that is also gender specific. All the Sharks seemed to agree and no offers were made for the Cougar Energy Drink. Not even our Cougar Shark Barbara Corcoran could be convinced to invest in this very niche, and very active Lady's product when needing a boost of energy.

What happened after the Shark Tank Show?

Misto Box Coffee Cluc  This is one Shark Tank Episode that will go down in the History Books as one of the most memorable episodes in all of Season 4. Kevin O'Leary steps out of His comfort zone and shows it's not always about the money while making a terrific investment helping an Entrepreneur get a Big Break on Her road to a very successful company. Remyxx/ ReKixx Update

Remyxx/ ReKixx Shark Tank Update

100% Recyclable Tennis Shoes From Season 3, Episode 312

Seen on the Shark Tank Show
Remyxx Sneakers Now Known As
ReKixx
Now here's a cool "thinking outside the box" invention we all need to get behind in our recycling efforts. Gary Gagdon the inventor of Remyxx (now known as ReKixx) came up with this idea to make 100% recycled tennis shoe's while in the process of throwing several pairs away. Gagdon took those old shoes out of the trash and began working on a new recycled product that could effect what we all wear in the future.

Gary Gagnon came into the Shark Tank with His revolutionary recycled sneaker's seeking a $50,000.00 investment for only 10% equity in the business. When Gary means 100% recyclable, He means just that. Every part of the sneakers can go into the recycling bin and recycled into new products.

While putting a $500k valuation on the Remyxx/ ReKixx business, Gagdon obviously must of been somewhat established with sales at a proven profit point right? Well not exactly, Gary had zero sales and has only been in business for 3 weeks. It seems He has a great idea at this point, but the Sharks point out getting into the recycled sneaker business will require a lot more than the $50k Gagdon is asking for.

Four of the Sharks drop out leaving only Daymond John with Gary's last chance to make a deal on Shark Tank. Daymond really likes the idea of recycled tennis shoes and the potential to create a new Brand around them. John offers him the $50k but He wants 80% of the Remyxx Business in return. Gary does come back and counter for $100,000.00 and 50% of the business, but Daymond doesn't budge. He has three clear plans in which direction the Remyxx Brand could go. With John's help teaching Gary this business, the Remyxx / ReKixx recycled tennis shoes could become very successful. Gary does indeed accept Daymonds offer and agrees to give him 80% controlling interest.

What do you get taking a bite out a juicy piece of BBQ Chicken? Why you get a Red Neck Lipstick of course. While doing research for another Shark Tank Update article I'm working on, I happen to stumble on this Shark Tank Audition Tape and decided to watch it for a few reasons. First off  the name looks like you could turn it into a full-fledged Brand if it took off (instantly recognizable), and secondly I love too Bar-B-Que and I'm always willing to try a new Brand of Barbecue Sauce that I have never tried before.

If there's anyone out there reading this that wants to know how to make an audition tape to get on Shark Tank and Stand Out from the crowd of thousands of other Entrepreneur's, you might like watching this audition tape by Bobby Wagner from Grubs, Arkansas.

Thin Gloss - April Morris Update

Thin Gloss Shark Tank Update

Shark Tank Update
April Morris Appearing on the
Shark Tank Show in Season 1
If pure inspiration is the secret to success, then April Morris the inventor of Thin Gloss, is one of the most Successful Entrepreneur's ever seen on the Shark Tank. But it would be my luck while searching my Shark Tank Season list's that I would run across two contestants in a row where the product has disappeared and seems to of failed.

The Thin Gloss story seems to of taken a turn unlike any product ever seen on the Shark Tank Show. It made April Morris a success just like She always envisioned, and then She gave it all up.

April Morris and Thin Gloss was featured on the Shark Tank in Season 1 during the last episode 15. She claimed in so many words that Thin Gloss could help lose weight by applying this lip gloss. The Sharks instantly knew this product would never get FDA approval without several very costly independent studies to verify you really could lose weight with April's product. She never came right out and said the Thin Gloss product would help you lose weight, but the picture's clearly implied otherwise which Kevin Harrington pointed out. The short story is April Morris did not get a deal on the Show.Read More Here-->>>

Treasure Chest Pets Success/ Failure Story

Treasure Chest Pets Update

Season 1 of the shark tank
Lisa Lloyd looking very determined to get
A Deal on the Shark Tank Season 1 Show
While searching the Shark Tank Season 1 List looking for another incredible Success Story, I found something much different. A successful deal with the Sharks that ends in Failure. How could you give up a majority stake in your business to two Sharks and then watch your invention get taken over by the competition? There is quite a lot to the Treasure Chest Pet's Story and Lisa Lloyd's rise to the Top of becoming one of Shark Tank's most successful entrepreneur's, despite her product ending in failure.

Lisa Lloyd had no intentions of going on this new Show called The Shark Tank. In fact She never even heard of this new Reality Show for Entrepreneur's that was already casting for the very first season for almost a year. As fate would have it, Lisa was one of the very last people to get her product to the producer's on the very last day. Clearly Lisa was no amateur taking an idea to the market having already sold over million's with other inventions, which most likely helped Her stand out in the producers eyes.Read More Here-->>>

New Shark on Shark Tank Season 5
Billionaire Steve Tisch Season 5
Steve Tisch Winning Another
Super Bowl Championship
Perhaps Steve Tisch is better known as the Chairman and Executive Vice President of the New York Giants which has been in His Family for almost 30 years. Tisch took over the reigns in 2005 and has become a very active Pro Football Team Owner winning two Super Bowl Rings thus far. But it's not the New York Giants that Steve has a 50% interest that's made him a billionaire, instead it's the Mega Hit Movies Steve has been involved in producing and a Family Fortune His Dad helped create.

The list of Hit Movies Steve Tisch has produced is a very impressive list indeed. Does anyone remember a Movie called Forest Gump starring Tom Hanks? Or perhaps you may remember a little Movie called Risky Business that put Tom Cruise on the map and made him a Mega Super Star. The list of A-List Celebrities that have worked with Tisch reads more like the Celebrity Guest List at the Oscars, they are all there.

Having a passion for producing Movies came at a young age for Steve. In 1986 at the age of 37, he branched out on his own and started the Steve Tisch Company. Eventually his company would merge with Black & Blu Production's owners Todd Black and Jason Blumenthal, and form Escape Artist's. Tisch still remains active in this Company to this day.

Escape Artists specializes in independently financed film production's based at Sony Pictures Entertainment. This is the same facility where the Shark Tank Show is also made and produced.

100% All Natural Skin Care - Season 3 - Episode 305- Update

Seen on Shark Tank, season 3, episode 8,
If a picture is worth a thousand words, then this picture is
Worth A Million Bucks!
The Nardo's Natural Organic Skin Care Product's was invented by 4 very ambitious Brother's Kyle, K.J., D.J.  and Danny Mastronardo. They came into the Shark Tank prepared and enthusiastic as any contestant on the Show and definitely was looking too make a deal.

The Mastronardo Brothers were asking the Sharks to invest $75,000.00 for a 12% stake in the Nardo's Natural Skin Care and join their Family Run Business. The four Brother's started their Organic Skin Care Business back in 2009 and at the time of their Shark Tank appearance, have $30,000.00 in gross sales.

Mark Cuban seems to really enjoy the presentation until all his enthusiasm melts away after hearing the sales numbers. Once the Brothers point out that Nardo's Natural is just beginning to get into the stores with 17 so far, that helped bring back a little enthusiasm as a business investment.

Daymond John asks how much the 4 Brothers have invested in the Nardo's Natural Business which is only $35k so far. The projection for the business over the next two years is $4.8 million in total sales which of course has Kevin O'Leary wondering how they plan to grow this business so fast.

The Original Profender is a rather unique basketball training invention developed by Tony Divine for his son Devon. This mobile basketball training device reacts much like a professional defender closing in on his opponent before taking a shot.

Tony gets right to the point inside the Shark Tank and asks for $75,000.00 for a 15% equity stake in the Original Profender invention. Mark Cuban that knows a thing or two about basketball, gladly rolls up his sleeves and want to give The Original Profender a try. Tony already has one ready to go with a cut out of Kevin O'Leary which he calls The Original Offender. Son of a gun if Mark beats the Profender and makes a basket on his first try. Obviously Cuban must workout with the Dallas Mavericks because he was sinking them down like a real pro.

So how does professional basketball players currently run drill's when closing in on an opponent? According to Mark Cuban, the coach uses a broom to try and distract the players when shoot at the basket. There's no question The Original Profender has value on the basketball court, the real question is how big is this market?

Rent A Grandma

Rent A GrandMa Shark Tank Update

Child Care Service's - Season 3 - Episode 305
Shark Tank Season 3, episode 308
Rent-A-Grandma
Rent A Grandma back then because I'm sure we both would of been a lot more relaxed having a more experienced babysitter when he was still a baby.
Now here's a novel idea that could fulfill a much needed service when you are trusting someone with your most prized possession, your Kid's. I distinctly remember the very first time we hired a baby sitter when my son was only 7 months old. We must of called no less than a half a dozen times before we finally cut the night short and came home early. I sure wish we had a

Todd Colby Pliss must of had a similar experience for him to come up with the Rent A Grandma Business Opportunity. It was such a unique idea combining Grandma's with parents looking for a responsible babysitter, he already had 50 Grandma's on the books and ready to rent out.

Pliss and one of his hired Grandma's came into the Shark Tank looking for a $150k investment in exchange for 20% of the Rent-A-Grandma Franchise Opportunity. His flagship store is located in Los Angeles, Ca. which all Grandma's are also certified cookie makers and always eager to bake a fresh batch of cookies. Sure it sounds a little gimmicky, but it is a unique twist that keeps the phone ringing.

Mix Bikini

Mix Bikini Shark Tank Update

Mix and Match Bikini - Season 3 - Episode 315
Mix Bikini Shark Tank Update Season 3 Episode 315
Frank Scozzafava Inventor of Mix Bikini
Tough Job but someone has to do it!
The Mix Bikini Brand allows you to mix and match bikini parts into over 5000 combinations. The more interchangeable parts you acquire, the more options you have to create a brand new look every time you head to the beach. I must say they do look good on the models and seem to fit in all the right places.

Frank Scozzafava and Adam DiSilvestro came into the Shark Tank looking for a $50,000.00 investment in their creative bikini line, but for only 5% equity stake in the business. Each interchangeable part of the swimsuit is sold separately which you will need at least 4 to complete a brand new look. To create your own unique bikini costs between $40-$60 retail.

With starting off negotiations with a 5% stake in the business or $1 million valuation, was soon changed to 10% and quickly cut it in half down to $500k. The male Sharks seemed a little concerned how there was no real business plan in place and no sales to put a value so high on a brand new start up.Read More Here-->>>

Cab 20 Band

Cab 20 Band on Shark Tank

Investing in a New Rock Band
First Band Featured on Shark Tank Show
Cab20 is the First and Only Band to
Preform on the Shark Tank Show
The Cab20 Band was featured on the Shark Tank in season 3 opened up a whole new avenue for Bands to raise money. If your sound is unique and if you have the right manager, then you might also get a chance to play in front of 7 million viewer's.

Of course having Tom Callaham an already accomplished Band Promoter does come with benefits. The idea of raising money for new talent via Venture Capital and Angel Investors is nothing new. But the idea of getting an up and coming new band in front of millions of viewers for the first time when seeking an investment was. Whether Callaham was successful in getting a deal with any of the Sharks or not, was really besides the point.

With all the talented bands out there, how could the producer's ever decide on which Band will be the very first ever to appear on the Shark Tank? In Tom's case He was good friends with someone who was also good friends with the executive producer for the Shark Tank Show. Callaham sent in a Video of Cab 20 directly to Clay Newbill the executive of the Shark Tank Show, and soon after they met for a cup of coffee. Read More Here-->>>

Tail Lightz Update

Tail Lightz on Shark Tank

Light-Up Magnetic Stickers - Season 3 Episode 301

Kyle Rainey season 3, episode 301
The Finished Tail Lightz Product
After the Shark Tank Show
Kyle Rainey is the inventor of the Tail Lightz magnetic stickers made to light your assets up. If you’re seeking a little added attention in that department, then this product is guaranteed to get you noticed. That was at least my impression when Rainey first came into the Shark Tank with two female models and proceeded to show all their assets off.

The Tail Lights Magnetic Stickerswas an inspiration of Kyle's when his young Daughter wanted a pair of light up sneakers that flashes LED lights as you move around. It's a cool invention that I myself bought a pair for one of my kids which always seemed to get a lot of attention. He came into the Shark Tank looking for a $50,000.00 investment in exchange for 50% of the Tail Lightz Business which was a brand new concept at the time.

The lights on set dimmer and the music comes on to create a night life atmosphere as Kyle and his two models start dancing it up and showing off their tail light assets. The first thing you notice (at least I did) was how generic a lot of the Tail Light designs were. A few of the designs almost looked like clip art I have seen before. In fact I would bet on it, but there's a good reason why.

In hind sight we now know that Kyle Rainey is an avid inventor with over 80 inventions he is constantly working on.
